Techniques or Format
Square birch bark box with hinged lid and latch closure. The edges are finished with open coiled bunched sweetgrass. Made of three pieces: bottom, sides, and lid. Motif formed by incision and removal of upper layer, as with northern Algonkin mukuks.
Motifs and Patterns
Each square side of the box is constructed of two colors (light and dark) of bark in two triangular segments.
