Introduction

Belt made of raw hide and is wrapped with porcupine quills. Two motifs consisting of 3 black squares with orange wing-like forms. Originally collected by Johann Georg Schwarz in the 1820s.

This is a mystery piece; collected in the Great Lakes, but possibly from the Plains.
