Introduction

This relative, an otter medicine bag, is ornamented with quill braided thongs around feet and tin cones on the body. Although the origins of this relative are not certain, it is believed to have connections to the Great Lakes region from the late 18th to early 19th century.

This relative currently resides in the National Museum of Ireland.
