An Anishinaabe bag of black dyed deerskin with one large and two small underwater panthers embroidered in porcupine quills, early 19th century. Transferred from the Andover Newton Theological School in 1976.

The bag is trapezoidal, made of three pieces of hide - the back is of two pieces and the front is of one. Porcupine quillwork decorated the bag.
Three underwater panthers.
Early 19th century. This attribution is based on the style and materials. Also based on the probable date of items collected by the Andover Newton Theological School.
