Materials

Fine woolen broadcloth, greenish brown.drab wth linen tape edging. Size 8 white and black glass beads; size 13, white, clearred and greasy teal. Panel: Red wool yarn warp; Brown and blue weft.

Techniques or Format

No lining so beadwork panel in two weft loomwork forms the front of the pouch. Warp threads braided as fringe. Goes from single bead to double bead edgin four times on each side. This edging motif is also found on Maungwadaus materials in ROM (CW).

Cory Willmott's research was funded by a grant from the American Philosophical Society. Al Corbiere was supported through Ruth Phillips's SSHRC Canada Research Chair Funding.
