wood is painted in drab brown; bow has red, ochre and white vertical lines painted on it; foot rest has painted imagery of a man wearing feathered bonnet with floral/leaf motifs around; top of board has saw-tooth edge; above footboard, there is a small area with no paint-- possibly had a piece removed? "Indian head" painted on bottom of foot with leaves, floral, abstract design around it. back of board is painted with floral motifs surrounding a tipi with "KaRon" written in paint and pencil at bottom
