Cylindrical, wooden shaft, notched at one end to receive bowstring, at opposite end, split for insertion of point. Point is lanceolate, of iron. Point/shaft join is lashed with oiled twine; twine is wound diagonally down length of shaft to where feathers were originally lashed (no feathers now).;;
