This relative is a black leather pouch or bag with the original strap. The bag features quillwork decor and metal tinklers (cones) with fur. Some tinklers are loose, and some are missing. Although the origins of this relative are unclear, it has been dated to the 1700s and may have connections to the Mohawk, Delaware, or Miami.
This relative currently resides in the Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology.

In addition, the double rows of tinklers / cones suggests a link to the Delaware style of dress as suggested in Ted J. Brasser's 2009 text, Native American Clothing: An Illustrated History, published by Firefly Books (This information was provided by Tom Connin in March 2024 via GRASAC webform submission.)
