Acceptance of a recommendation to approve the surrender of the Moravian Reserve in Orford and Zone by the Delaware Nation of Indians. Description of Order in Council:
The Superintendent General of Indian Affairs has submitted for approval a surrender to Her Majesty the Queen by the Delaware Nation of Indians of the Indian Reserve in the Townships of Orford and Zone, known as the Moravian Tract. Terms of the surrender were as follows:
1. Land shall be reserved and divided into lots among the Indians of the band.
2. Each family shall receive a document giving them exclusive occupation of the lot allotted to them.
3. Proceeds of the sale of the surrendered land shall be held in trust for the band.
4. The interest of said proceeds shall be paid half yearly.
The committee thus recommended that the surrender be accepted and registered.
