Proclamation to Protect Mississauga Fishing/Burial Grounds
Introduction
This proclamation of the government of Upper Canada states that British subjects in Upper Canada who commit depredations upon Mississauga fisheries or burial grounds will be "proceeded against with the utmost severity," as such actions are "in violation of the friendship existing between His Majesty and the Mississauga Indians."
