Introduction

Haudenosaunee-style hide moccasin, with single-seam construction and folded cuffs. Front seam decorated with white glass beads in diamond pattern, which are now deteriorated. Red silk ribbon trim on front and edge of cuff.

Each made of single piece of hide, with cuffs folded downward. Single seam at top and at heel. Ribbon and beadwork cover top seam.

Motifs and Patterns

Wavy lines and curvilinear motifs create a netted appearance with diamond shapes. Similar around the cuffs - Wavy lines and curvilinear motifs.

Condition: Poor condition, silk ribbon deteriorating. Beadwork missing around the cuff
