Introduction

Beaded bag with floral motifs. Beads are rare and unusual colours, as is the unusually high quality blue broadcloth used for the strap.

Materials

Rare and unusual purple beads, not same as other ROM pieces (mauve and clear plum colour).

Techniques or Format

Unusual high quality blue stroud (broadcloth) on reverse of bag as backing, pieced together from something else. Two pocket bag; strap is 2 layers of wool tap and has been reinforced with 2 rows of machine stitching running the length of the strap.(suggests actual use as bag)

Bag without strap is 28, bag with strap is 66cm, width at widest point is 15.5.
