A pair of moccasins with fur trim and inset vamps decorated with silk embroidery. According to museum documentation they are probably Cree or Sioux.

Unsmoked hide, beaver fur, well worn , silk embroidery thread in green, purple, pink, red and white; cotton tape, black.
Each T-heel seamed moccasin has a small inset small surrounded by black cotton tape, used as a trim inserted into the vamp seam to form piping. The vamp is decorated by silk embroidery. There is beaver fur trim on the cuffs.
Circles, four-lobed motifs, leaf motifs.
A tag on the moccasins says: "Mocassin (one of a pair) buckskin with rabbit fur trimmings, from North America, Eastern Woodlands, possibly Sioux;".Cory Willmott: moccasins have both fur trim and cuff.
