Techniques or Format

Thick bark is folded into a shallow box shape at one end and sewn with vegetable fiber cord to form the cradleboard frame. A carved wooden hoop with rectangular holes and a horizontal wooden bar at the back are attached to the bark frame with nails. Notched ends of the curved bow fit securely in holes of the back horizontal bar. Rectangular holes cut out from sides of bark frame possibly for the attachment of a moss bag(?)
