Birch bark wallet decorated with porcupine quillwork. Odawa, made in the early to mid eighteenth century. Purchased by the British Museum from Mrs. D K Oldman in 1949 and collected by Mr. W O Oldman.

Wood and birch bark with hide thongs, ornamented with porcupine quills dyed black, red faded to orange, yellow faded blue, and white.
Two sheets of thin wood with birch bark stitched on top, with the top and bottom separated by squared pieces of wood. The side edges are round, decorated with quilled thongs. Braided thongs lay across the top. Sheets of birch bark are are inside the wallet.
