Odawa fine dark blue broadcloth women's leggings with rayon narrow ribbon work on cuff and half way up sides in scallop, otter tail and diamond designs. Black ribbon trims bottom edge all the way around.

Variation on otter tail motif with zig zags or waves at cuff; no motif on cuff at back; diamonds only on vertical motif on back.
Selvedge on one top only (self color). Not clear whether the other is even cut across the nap. Both leggings have wrong side of fabric on the outside.
Collected between 1920 and 1950, according to ROM record.
Provenance
Albert Heath Green collected much Native American material from all over, but particularly from the Odawa of Petosky and Harbor Springs where he had a summer home. He donated his collection to the Logan Museum of Anthropology, which then sold portions of it to museums all over the world.
