The ball is very round and painted black, and appears to be mottled. Motifs decorating the club are painted on with red, green and black pigments.
The spine of the club is decorated with zig zag patterns and beaver, porcupine and bird motifs. Half way down, near the handle, the shaft is painted black. There is a drilled hole on the handle, where a thong or feathers could be affixed.
The club was acquired by the British Museum in 1888.
