Museum record indicates: "The home of Chief John Mt. Pleasant, where Ten Kate stayed in December 1882."
Note: This record originally indicated that Chief John Mount Pleasant was chief of the Seneca. With thanks to Rick Hill for the correction via the GRASAC webform, this has since been amended to chief of the Tuscarora while his wife, Caroline (Parker) Mount Pleasant, was a Tonawanda Seneca.
