L-shaped pipe bowl carved in black stone (possibly steatite). Pipe bowl carved in the shape of a ball-head war club having a spherical bowl and rectangular-sectioned base that curves up to meet the bowl. Short pierced fin extends full length of upper side of base.
Motifs and Patterns
Fine engraved lines parallel the edges. Hatchings present on collar at rear. Lead inlaid circle at base of shank opposite the bowl.
Additional Context
Shape of a ball-headed war club. 10 notches where pipe meets the stem. 9 holes across the top.

DJ: Strong smell of tobacco.
