Techniques or Format

elbow pipe (no prow) with an expanding, octagon section bowl and and expanding octagon section shank with an angled crest at the top of the shank. The top of the crest is formed by a 'finial' composed of four bundled tubular forms. The lead inlay along the top of the bowl has two deep grooves. there are three pendant designs with inlaid catlinite triangles and hearts. The fourth is a pendant triangle. At the base of the bowl are inlays of lead consisting of a vertical bar that ends in a circle, Along the shank is a circle and diamond and sun form with catlinite centres. The 'sun' has ten triangular rays
