Description of Land Sold:

Louis Rendt, for and in consideration of the sum of thirty-seven pounds and ten shillings of lawful money, to him in hand paid, did surrender unto Her Majesty Queen Victoria all that parcel of land lying in the Township of Enniskillen, in the County of Kent, being composed of the east half of lot number nine in the 10th concession of the said Township, and containing 100 acres. The land is described as follows: Commencing where a post has been planted at the north-east angle of the said half lot; then south sixty-six chains sixty-seven links to the limit between the ninth and tenth concessions; then west fifteen chains, to the centre of the said lot number nine; then north sixty-six chains sixty-seven links, to the allowance for a road in front of the eleventh concession; then east fifteen chains, to the place of beginning. The lands are to be held by the Crown, in trust for the benefit of the Chippewa Indians of the St. Clair River.
