A surrender by the Chippewa Tribe unto Her Majesty Queen Victoria of certain islands located in Lake Simcoe, Lake Couchiching, and Georgian Bay. These islands are to be sold by the Crown, with the proceeds invested for the use and benefit of the Indians, and an annual payment to be made from the interest. See IT 189 - Manuscript Duplicate

Description of Land Sold:
The Chiefs and Principal Men of the Tribe of Chippewa Indians residing on the shores of Lake Couchiching, Simcoe, and Huron do hereby surrender unto Her Majesty Queen Victoria those four islands in Lake Simcoe known by the names of Plum Island, Pa-push-quan Island, Sain-gau-be-quon-daig Island, and Esh-put-e-nang Island, and also one island in Lake Couchiching known by the name of Pumpkin Island, and also all and singular those islands lying in the Georgian Bay, Lake Huron heretofore claimed by the tribe, except for three islands lying in Georgian Bay, Lake Huron known as the Christian Islands (which six months from the date of this treaty, will be chosen by the Tribe). Her Majesty is to sell the heretofore mentioned islands for the benefit of the Chippewa Indians
