Description of Land Sold:

The Chiefs and Principal Men of the Tribe of Chippewa Indians occupying and claiming to be the sold possessors of a certain tract of land in the Township of Sarnia, in the County of Lambton and Province of Canada, known and described as the Upper Reserve on the River St. Clair, in consideration of the sum of 2,400 pounds currency, do surrender unto Her Most Gracious Majesty Queen Victoria, all our claim, right, and title to several pieces of land described on the map hereunto annexed, containing 24.5 acres of land, including 10 water lots fronting the River St. Clair, to the end and purpose that Her Majesty may be pleased to order and direct that the land and water lots shall be sold to the Great Western Railway Company of Canada, their heirs and assigns forever.
