Bast fibre, natural, black, grey-green; red woollen yarn
This type of finger woven bag is typical of the central Great Lakes peoples and it is possible that the bag was made by an artist from that region. The motif of the swimming turtle seen on one side is extremely unusual for such bags, and is identified by the collector as a 'tribal emblem.'
